i-Synth I – Lille was synthed for the very first time!

It took us a little  more time to recuperate from this amazing weekend,  so that is why the blog entry took longer than usual!

The celebrations started on the 26th of April. A Friday we will never forget! Shiny Darkness started the party , playing favorite covers from Depeche Mode, Mesh, Camouflage, OMD… and were joined on stage  by Spacebuoy, who performed a suprise song from REM and  Yazzoo. Also Howard from Spacebuoy, joined Shiny Darkness for a DM cover of “Never let me down” that did not let anyone down!

The party went on with Greg Gregolini, Dave Charles and Rob Harvey on the decks, until the first small morning hours!  It was a real intimate party that prepared everyone for the next day and gave us the opportunity to spend time with all the bands and the audience.

Saturday started off with the showcase at Cultura, where spacebuoy and Tenek perfomed two small live sets and then interacted with the audience , signed autographs and took pictures! Both bands sold out their CD’s at Cultura before the day was over!!

Saturday night came too soon and the main event of the festival kicked off with Electrocaution , a personal project of Sebastien Deruwez,  presented to the public for the very first time.

Shiny Darkness, Spacebuoy and Tenek performances, were more than enthusiasticly welcomed, by all the audience, in the completely full “Biplan”. The night ended with Dave Charles and Rob Harvey on the decks,  playing favourite old and new tunes, and leading the night to end in excessive dancing!!

The whole weekend was  a blast and due to public demand i-Synth 2 is on the way!!

Next stop “Synthage” festival, Germany!
